Les Roches du Diable
ideal destination for a walk, Les Roches du Diable is an exceptional natural site located between Le Faouët and Quimperlé. It is a chaotic set of granite boulders, devalued by the tumultuous Ellé River. Rapids and winter eddies smoothed the rocks to form imposing rounded masses. The waters of the Ellé are calm in summer: the site then becomes a haven of peace and enchanting scenery. In winter, the tumultuous waters at Les Roches du Diable are ideal for renowned canoeing and kayaking competitions. The Roches du Diable are of course surrounded by legends: one of them explains the presence of granite rocks by a conflict between the devil himself and Saint-Guénolé.
